GEMINI: compact footprint, modular architecture, real scalability.
MTA introduces GEMINI, a new modular range of air-to-water chillers and heat pumps designed for applications requiring flexibility, scalability and reduced installation footprint. All units use R454B refrigerant, combining high performance with a lower global warming potential (GWP) with solutions up to 300 kW of heating and 320 kW of cooling capacity in less than 9 m², with scalable modular architecture.
 
Designed around a highly compact modular concept, GEMINI allows multiple units to be installed side by side with only 11 cm between modules. With a width of just 1.1 meters and lengths of 2.7 or 3.7 meters, the platform is particularly suited to retrofit projects, technical rooms with limited access and high-density HVAC installations.    
 
The new platform delivers significant efficiency improvements compared to previous generations, including up to 19% higher SEER and up to 18% higher SEPR HT for demanding process cooling applications. The heat pump range also achieves SCOP improvements of up to 18%, while delivering hot water temperatures up to 60°C throughout the year. Eurovent certification further strengthens GEMINI’s credentials for high-performance cooling applications.  
 
Scalable system configurations and an optional hydraulic modularity kit allow up to six units to be connected on site, delivering heating capacities from 84 to 900 kW and cooling capacities from 87 kW to more than 1 MW.  
 
The modular architecture has also been designed to support business continuity in mission-critical applications. Independent unit operation and advanced multi-unit management help maintain system operation even during maintenance activities or defrost cycles. The optional Multimanager controller enables cascade control, pump management, redundancy logic and advanced diagnostics across multiple units.    
 
For noise-sensitive environments, the XXLN low-noise configuration reduces sound levels by up to 10 dB(A) compared to the standard version, while maintaining high efficiency and compact dimensions.  
 
GEMINI has been developed to support a wide range of applications, from comfort cooling and heating to industrial process cooling and IT environments, combining modular flexibility, compact dimensions and robust engineering in a single platform.
